SHG - Super High Grade
The performance of the SHG binoculars set new standards at DDoptics. A look through the SHG binoculars provides certainty. The SHG binoculars complete several years of development to perfection.
High resolution
Like no other binoculars, the SHG series by DDoptics combines an extremely high image resolution with sharp detail right up to the outermost edge of the field of vision. Stray light and chromatic aberrations are almost completely suppressed through the use of complex processes and the highest quality materials.
The case
The SHG series is made of magnesium, so the binoculars survive a fall from a great height unscathed. The newly developed armouring allows the binoculars of the SHG series to stick to your hands, so that slipping or slipping out of your hand is almost impossible, even in the rain.
Newly developed coating & nano-coating
A multiple coating of all glass surfaces ensures optimal, loss-free light entry. The nano-coating lets water simply roll off - "Lotus effect".
The easily exchangeable eyecups
made of metal have 4 clearly defined steps. For cleaning, the eyecups can be unscrewed counterclockwise and removed.
True internal focusing of central diopter
The diopter compensation is a real inner focusing, which makes the SHG binoculars robust, waterproof and dustproof. The diopter is permanently adjustable.
Non-slip focusing wheel
The focus point can be set perfectly, not too easily and not too stiffly. The adjustment path is deliberately chosen to be slightly wider so that the absolute visual acuity can always be set successfully.
Large field of view
The newly developed armouring allows the binoculars of the SHG series to stick to your hands, so that slipping or slipping out of your hand is almost impossible, even in the rain. The fields of view of the SHG binoculars are also premium. 141.75 m for the SHG 8x42 and 115.5 m for the SHG 10x42 are particularly impressive due to the sharpness of detail right up to the very edge.
Light transmission
The SHG binoculars offer the highest possible light transmission of up to 93% and a completely new visual experience of color brilliance, contrast and brightness. This is made possible by a newly developed FLK glass material from Japan, mirror coating of the prisms with a dielectric, and a newly developed coating. Field flattener eyepieces reduce the distortion of the SHG binoculars in such a way that visible distortion, even at the edges, can hardly be provoked without triggering the notorious globe effect.
Generous fields of view, razor-sharp right to the edge with hardly any distortion. Field flattener eyepieces shift the foci of the Petzval field curvature so that they lie in the same plane.
