The easily exchangeable metal eyecups have 4 clearly defined levels. For cleaning, the eyecups can be unscrewed counterclockwise and removed.

Non-slip focusing wheel
The focus point can be set perfectly, not too easily and not too stiffly. The adjustment path is deliberately chosen to be slightly wider so that the absolute visual acuity can always be set successfully.

The housing of the HDs series is made of aluminium, so the binoculars survive a fall from a great height unscathed. The newly developed armouring allows the binoculars of the HDs series to "stick" to your hands, so that slipping or slipping out of your hand is almost impossible, even in the rain.

Newly developed coating & nano-coating
A multiple coating of all glass surfaces ensures optimal, loss-free light entry. The nano-coating lets water simply roll off - lotus effect.

High point eyepieces
Generous fields of view, razor-sharp right to the edge with hardly any distortion. As with the SHG binoculars, the eyepieces of the HDs binoculars are ideal for people who wear glasses.

Schmidt-Pechan prism systems make the optics small, light and compact. A dielectric mirror and a phase coating ensure an incredibly brilliant and bright viewing experience.

ED lens
As important as the brightness is for bright colors, the display of the dark areas of the image is also important for a good contrast. The newly developed lens is able to focus different light wavelengths or colors in one and the same plane. So to correct the longitudinal chromatic aberration almost perfectly, whereby it also corrects the spherical aberration in addition to chromatic aberration.

The HDs binoculars also offer very good light transmission of up to 90% and a visual experience of color brilliance, contrast and brightness that is not usual in this price range. The newly developed FLK glass material from Japan was also used here. The mirroring of the prisms with a dielectric and a newly developed coating ensure bright colors and few losses.

The newly developed armouring allows the binoculars of the HDs series to "stick" to your hands, so that slipping or slipping out of your hand is almost impossible, even in the rain. The fields of view of the HDs binoculars are also pleasant. 122.5 m for the HDs 8x42 and 105 m for the HDs 10x42 are particularly impressive due to the sharpness of detail right to the very edge.

The smaller HDs binoculars (s stands for small) by DDoptics also combine extremely high image resolution with sharp detail right up to the edges of the field of view. Chromatic aberrations are almost completely suppressed through the use of complex processes and the highest quality materials.

The diopter is permanently adjustable and better protected against water and dust than with external focusing. The diopter is released by pulling it out and locked again after adjustment by pressing it in.
